Meet Doris with her newest BendPak Products-YouTube’s Woman.Driven
ADDED NEW BENDPAK PRODUCTS TO NEW SHOP
“To boldly go where no woman has gone before.” Yes, that familiar opening from the original Star Trek series has been slightly modified here, but the theme remains the same. Just watch Doris on any episode of her YouTube channel Woman.Driven and you will quickly discover that she boldly tackles new frontier as she is pursuing her quest for extreme automotive performance. Whether Doris’ Woman.Driven channel is featuring an install on a set of exhaust headers on her late-model Camaro ZL1, totally rebuilding the 5.2L Voodoo engine in one of her Mustangs, or piloting laps around Las Vegas Motor Speedway at triple digits, nothing holds her back. And the subscribers keep coming. She currently claims near 500,000. Doris exemplifies an “automotive prodigy” as she confidently and successfully lives by the motto “learn by doing.” Just don’t try telling Doris something is not possible. She will change your mindset, while wearing an infectious smile and having fun to boot. For those who watch and attest, she is setting the table and defining what a young Car Gal is as she speeds through the latest century. As a matter of fact, the personalized license plate on one of her Mustangs reads her first name “DoRace”. Well, at least it sounds like “Doris”. And there is more than Mustangs and Camaros in her stable of cars. YouTube’s Woman.Driven also dabbles in Mopars, namely a Dodge Viper ACR-E and a Challenger Hellcat Redeye, plus a BMW, Nissan GTR, and the list continues on.
When Doris is busy wrenching on any of her cool rides, she uses auto lifts and equipment that can keep pace with her fast moving days, nights and extreme demands. To do all of this, she chose BendPak auto lifts. BendPak lifts have been serving the auto and enthusiast industry for decades. With such a comprehensive To-Do car list, Doris uses BendPak 2-Posts and BendPak 4-Post lifts for her YouTube’s Woman.Driven channel. To constantly accomplish all of this, Doris knows she needs strong lifting capabilities and BendPak lifts come in varying height configurations to work under low ceilings or to provide plenty of undercar clearance.
BendPak’s 2-Post styles deliver easy wheels free access, such as what is needed to remove a complete engine and drivetrain from the bottom of the car (yes, the bottom). On Doris’ late-model Mustangs, this means unbolting the sub-frame and all attaching components and then raising the car body on the lift, while the engine and transmission remain behind attached to a supporting crate on the ground. YouTube’s Woman.Driven tackled this feat reversing the way a new Mustang is assembled on the assembly line. In other words, without an engine crane to drop the engine into the engine compartment from above with the hood off.
Bendpak also offers 2-post styles in the GrandPrix series for more limited ceiling heights, such as the one Doris uses in her home garage where she works under 10 foot high ceilings.

Performing a feat like this means you really will need some high-quality equipment that can provide the ample support required. You don’t want to find out with a car halfway up in the air that your equipment is not the team player you thought. But with BendPak’s high quality and well-built lifts, the engineering and features are all about team building. The most recently acquired 2-Post design Doris uses is BendPak’s XPR-10AS-LP. Since she has the room, she opted for a pair of these so her work days would not need to stand still waiting for repair parts if needed. With two lifts in service, one lift can remain free, while the other holds a disabled car. Doris’ XPR-10AS-LP 2-Posts are rated for loads up to 10,000 lbs. each. Bendpak offers stouter XPR models that will raise up to 18,000 lbs. For jobs that require a 4-post lift with runways to park on, Doris has added a pair of HD-9 lifts in her large work shop. After all, if one lift works well, why not have more?
BendPak’s XPR-10AS-LP 2-Post is also designed to easily clear under a vehicle’s lift points including those with lower body and chassis areas. Hence the LP in the model number meaning Low-Profile lifting arms. This means many lowered sport sedans and also vehicles that ride on lower profile tires will be able to have the lift arms positioned under the chassis. It also means there is less opportunity for lift arms to contact the side body panel areas of lowered vehicles.

Need a simple way to add more vehicle storage in your shop, but don’t have any extra floor space? Things are looking up. Doris of Woman.Driven chose a BendPak HD-9 4-Post to do just that. Actually Doris chose to install 2 BendPak HD-9’s and places both side-by-side, so she can double her auto lift pleasure. When there is the need to have a vehicle lifted by all 4 wheels, BendPak’s HD-9 4-Post raises the vehicle high, and leaves the area under the lift free and clear to park a second car; or even use to store other items-motorcycles, boats, tool boxes, engines, or just about anything that will dimensionally work. This all means that BendPak’s HD-9 can duplicate your parking or storage area within the same physical footprint. Store a car (or anything that will fit on the runways and also weighs up to 9,000 lbs.) and use the floor space below to park or store something else. BendPak’s HD9 4-Post works on the job to increase your vehicle storage options.

BendPak’s 4-post can be mobile too
BendPak’s 4-post lifts offer another optional feature that Doris of Woman.Driven finds very useful. With BendPak’s Caster Kit that includes 4-wheel assemblies that fit below each column, the stationary lift now transforms in a mobile lift (to another suitable area). Even with the weight of most cars resting on the top runways, you can move the lift across most flat concrete. Simply raise the lift’s runways higher than the height of the Caster assemblies, securely bolt all 4 in place in place, and lower the runways to raise the 4 columns free from the ground.
