BendPak's XPR-10AS-LP Kies Motorsports

What’s on your automotive menu? For many, a late-model European sedan is the perfect design of a mechanical banquet. It blends performance, image, handling and spice into one, and is typically regarded as a few rungs up from the motorized norm. However, for those who choose to taste the driving experience a la carte or their way, a car is often a creative platform to improve on-no matter how innovative it may arrive from the factory. These are the folks who often hunger for a higher-level of performance and style, but in their own distinctive way. For them, the automotive world is instead a buffet with really cool parts and ideas to select and synergize among.

Gaining Access with BendPak’s XPR-10AS-LP

Once Kiefer decided he needed vehicle access from top to bottom on the cars he works with and videos, he chose Bendpak to setup his shop. The specific lift that works best for him is an XPR-10AS-LP 2-Post lift. That LP on the end of the model no. stands for Low-Profile arms, which is something that Kiefer gladly finds useful with his lower-than-stock BMW’s. Drop‐end low-profile arms, provide a lower pad height to sneak beneath ground effects and reach chassis lift points on the performance handling cars he works on.

The BendPak XPR-10AS-LP 2-Post lift installed in Kies Motorsports’ studio comes ready to handle all types of lifting tasks. With its 10,000-lb. lifting capacity and 30-degree rotated single-piece columns, Keifer has discovered he is able to raise most anything and those angled lift pillars offer extra door-opening room. There is quite a lot of strength built into BendPak’s XPR-10AS-LP 2-Post lift as each column is welded atop very thick A36 steel (Hot Rolled, Low Carbon) baseplates that measure 17” x 19” in size. The rugged electric/hydraulic power that operates everything runs on 220 VAC/60 Hz/1 Ph.

Kiefer finds his BendPak XPR-10AS-LP 2-Post lift easy to get along with as it utilizes Tru-Metric lift arms to accommodate different lifting geometry requirements. The exclusive Tru-Metric carriage and arm design provides the ability to load sport sedans either symmetrically (centerline of vehicle at column) or asymmetrically (centerline of vehicle behind column).
