Rudy Diaz, Executive Vice President and COO
Rudy Diaz is our Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He first joined the company as vice president of information technology (IT) in June 2011. He plays an integral role in strategically planning, designing, and implementing programs aimed to enhance the digital experience for associates, vendors, and customers. He has helped transform our core, corporate and strategic processes by introducing new digital tools and technology that streamline processes, increase productivity, and create an unparalleled customer experience that helps drive growth, efficiency, and productivity with strategic accounts, specialty sales, customer service and last mile delivery.
Along with demonstrated proficiency in IT, Mr. Diaz lends his knowledge in accounting and resource management to help influence business growth, new business process development, new markets expansion, new market system integrations, quality, and consistency across the company. He is tasked with reducing corporate risk and driving organic growth for the business through innovation, cloud computing, big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and unsurpassed customer service, and to build a diverse, inclusive, and high-performing team. His role includes responsibilities across various departments, including IT, human resources, customer service, operations, and office administration.
Rudy began his IT career in 1992 and has more than 25 years of combined experience in IT, Cyber Security, Project Management, Accounting, and Operations. In addition, he holds several certifications from the governing bodies of ISACA and PMI, including CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, CISM, CDPSE, PMP.
Prior to joining BendPak, Inc., Rudy held senior IT leadership positions with the top two wholesale tire distributors in the United States. Most recently, he spent two years as the Director of Project Management Office-Information Technology for American Tire Distributors (ATD) in Huntersville, North Carolina, with 80 distribution centers servicing 30 of the 50 United States and generating $1 billion in annual sales.
Rudy also enjoyed 18+ years with Am-Pac Tire Distributors/Tire Pros, a nationwide wholesale distributor based in Simi Valley, CA, with $400+ million in yearly sales and a footprint in 15 states through 30+ distributions centers and 20 retail locations. Prior to his last role as Director of Information Technology for the company, he held management positions of increasing responsibility across various departments, including accounts payable, operations, sales administration, logistics, customer service and information technology.
As a way of giving back to the information technology community, a community that has given so much to him, Rudy has also served on the Board of Directors for ISSA’s Ventura County Chapter as the Logistical Director a position he held since October, 2013 through September, 2021. Rudy strongly feels that “as information technology professionals or any type of professional, we should never stop learning, training, and preparing the new generation.”
