Find the Best Sale or Holiday Deal on a Car Lift?

July 07, 2018
Whether you're reading this article at the time of publication or months or years down the line, you'll notice that it came just in time for the 4th of July 4th. This is the time of year when the auto industry goes bonkers over clearance sales and special financing opportunities. Likewise, we start to get a lot of questions about holiday deals: are we having one; why aren't we having one; when is the next one; where can I find one, etc. There's a pretty simple answer to this question. And here it is. No, there is probably no holiday deal on a car lift. Here's why.

car ad for holiday sale You've seen it. Do you believe it?

Eye candy on the highway makes for a quick way to separate Americans from our wallets. You know what we're talking about. The big, puffy, dancing, fan-blown, googly-eyed, arm-waving rubber doofus with a sign that screams HOLIDAY SALE is nothing but a big fat trap meant to get you in the door. Is there really a sale going on? Experts say yes, but the difference is at most a few hundred bucks. So that's a cup of coffee or so per month on a 60-month lease. Just to put things in perspective.

Furthermore, some even say those 4th of July and Presidents Day "blowouts" are pure fluff. Should you be buying on a Monday? When new cars come in? At the end of fall? All this—often contradictory—advice might pan out for you, but most of these deals apply to selective models, and inevitably, it's always the boring one that gets the deal. If you're in the market for a Hyundai Elantra or Toyota Corolla, you might just be in luck. The logical, human conclusion to all this is that dealerships put a lot of marketing into questionably effective deals.

So what are we getting at here? Are we really going through all this trouble just to say we don't have a sale? (What kind of marketing is that, anyway?) Kind of.

We're saying all this because there's really no need for a sale on our lifts. We sell primarily through select distributors who receive wholesale discounts to sell back to you at MRP. These rates are tightly regulated to ensure market fairness. Everyone is paying the same price nationwide. If we ran a sale with one distributor, there would be hell to pay with everyone else. The best thing we can do is to keep prices at a competitive rate year-round, so our rates are always the best of the best.

What kind of a deal am I getting when I buy from BendPak?

To keep the cost of freight out of the equation, we offer Free Shipping to most domestic destinations. The price you see is the price we want you to pay. No hidden fees or gimmicks. Also factor in the fact that a BendPak car lift is the best in the business. You get the best customer service, the longest warranty and the lowest cost of ownership, hands-down.

Traditionally, we don't run holiday sales because we're confident that we have the best pricing of any automotive lift anywhere. That's not to say a BendPak lift is the best "for the price," but rather that we make the best damn car lifts, and they come to you at killer prices. The holiday sale thing you see all the car dealerships do is, to us, evidence that you're getting ripped off if you buy at any other time of year. And that's... kind of insulting to customers, isn't it? Why not just offer the best offer all the time?

In short, we promise to do right by our customers, and pricing is only one consideration. When you also consider our impeccable reputation for providing excellent service, a nationwide installers network that will get your lift professionally installed, and the fact that more people are using our lifts than any other single brand, you've got to believe we know how to treat our customers.

So with all that in mind, if you're holding off for a holiday sale on a car lift, don't! The sale is now—the sale is always.
