AGOURA HILLS, CA (March 2024) – Last year, BendPak unveiled the next generation of two-post lifting, the AP Series. Initially BendPak offered four models to choose from with varying heights and are now ready to expand the future of the AP Series more – with models able to safely secure 12,000, 16,000 – and even 20,000-lbs. with ease!
The Revolutionary AP Series
For those not familiar with the AP Series, here’s a quick recap. EVs are becoming more and more prevalent, and traditional lifts may have difficulty allowing EV battery replacement. This is because EVs with their onboard battery systems tend to be larger, heavier, and present unique undercar access challenges. That’s where the AP Series comes in. Not only is it a prime choice for working on regular vehicles, but it is also better equipped for use on low ground-clearance vehicles and outer-positioned EV lifting points to allow essential access. The AP Series offers the convenience of wide or narrow installation wrapped up in one configurable package. Thanks to the Bi-Metric™ arms, you’re able to perform both symmetric and asymmetric lifting.
Then there’s the swing arms. BendPak’s Automatic Swing Arm Restraint System is robustly reinforced to withstand the elevated pushing and pulling forces that occur when a vehicle is being serviced. With a full 360-degrees of load-holding grip, the heavily forged-steel design of the arm restraint system secures the lift arms firmly in place with over 2000-lbs. of load-holding force, preventing any unexpected movement. This system requires minimal operator involvement and delivers unparalleled holding power.
Mid-Rise Lifting Solutions and the 12AP
While BendPak has new high-capacity models coming soon, we can’t forget about the 10AP. Both the 10AP and the 12AP are getting SRT variants which will make them perfectly suited for shops and garages with low ceilings. BendPak understands not every shop, or home for that matter, is going to need full-sized lifts. These short-rise, short-column lifts give you what you need to stand under a vehicle, while still offering a more reasonable solution if your shop primarily performs detailing. The SRTs are perfect for wheel and tire service. Like the rest of the AP Series, you’ll still be able to take full advantage of the triple-telescoping arms which redefine lifting precision. The unique, three-stage design, complete with a patented nesting feature, enables greater retraction and extension.
To round out the 12AP lifts, BendPak also offers the 12APX and the 12APX-192. Essentially the same lift, the main difference comes from the overall height. The 12APX can reach 169” whereas the 12APX-192 can reach 193”. With a lifting capacity of 12,000 lbs. and that kind of height, you’ll be able to work on full-sized vans and trucks with ease.
The Super-Duty AP Series
Now here's where things get serious. From heavy-duty fleet service to airport maintenance and emergency vehicle management, the 16AP and 20AP handles them all with ease. As you may have guessed, these lifts are able to secure up to 16,000 and 20,000 lbs. respectively. Thanks to the long-reaching telescoping arms and sizable assortment of lifting adapters to accommodate virtually every chassis configuration, these Super-Duty lifts make the ideal supplement to existing fleet operations.
The keys to the success of the Super-Duty AP lifts are in the oversized dimensions and capabilities, which go far beyond what you’ll find on traditional two-post lifts. These lifts handle more weight, lift higher, reach farther, and achieve more vehicle-supporting stability than ever before. With fewer moving parts, they’re also less susceptible to wear and tear; and they’re easier to maintain. With these lifts in your corner, you’ll be able to face commercial trucks with confidence thanks to the graciously spaced columns that make entry and exit safer than ever.
These lifts are also available in high-rise configurations – 16AP-192 and 20AP-192 with both high-rise lifts offering an overall height of 193”. Choose the one to best suit your needs and work more efficiently than ever before. Similar to the rest of the AP lifts, these Super-Duty lifts feature a patented automatic safety lock system, which has been designed to improve operator safety and efficiency. The simple yet intuitive design ensures safety lock engagement during all lift rising operations, and an ergonomic single-point release allows operators to effortlessly release the safety locks during lift descent; and all with the push of a button.
