Learn more about the APEX product line
Since 1965, BendPak has built equipment that earns its keep. That has not changed. What is changing is the name of a product line and the way we present value to people who expect BendPak engineering with a sharper price. We are retiring the Grand Prix name and introducing APEX. It is more than a rename. It is a reset for how we serve buyers in a market that rewards clarity, performance, and straight answers.
Grand Prix did what it needed to do for a season. Over time the name started to feel nostalgic while the work moved on. APEX fits the moment. The word says what we intend to deliver: a clear path to the top of your work. When you power up an APEX car lift or set a wheel on an APEX wheel service, the experience we want is simple: confidence without the premium price tag.

BendPak remains the flagship for premium commercial gear. That line is built for high-duty cycles, advanced features, and the toughest shop environments. APEX takes the same discipline and applies it to pro-consumer and light commercial needs. Think of it as the right spec for high-volume shops and serious DIYers who still want BendPak quality, parts access, and real support. Different badge, same backbone.
Why Now
Because the economy made the decision easy. Inputs move. Freight moves. Budgets are tighter. Waiting for the world to calm down is not a plan, so we built one. Our engineers pressure-tested designs, simplified service points, and focused each product on the features that matter. We trimmed anything that looked like fluff. The result is APEX: equipment that protects your budget without playing games with safety or reliability. If you know BendPak, you already know what that means in practice.
You will see that thinking right away in two familiar models that are crossing over with a genuine upgrade. The Grand Prix GP-7C becomes AL7D, and the GP-7CLC becomes AL7DLC. Both are compact 7,000-lb two-post lifts. Both now run a direct-drive power system in place of the previous single overhead cylinder. Direct-drive brings smoother operation, fewer wear parts, and simpler maintenance. The letter D in the new model numbers is not a style choice. It tells you exactly what changed.
Two of our trusted GrandPrix models will transition into the APEX line:
GP-7C → AL7D
GP-7CLC → AL7DLC
GP-10C → AL10C
GP-9LC → AL9LC

APEX Launches With More Than Car Lifts
You will see wheel service equipment that pairs tire changers and balancers into smart value combos, expanded 9K and 10K two-post car lift options in clear-floor and floorplate designs, lightweight foam ramps for trailers, garages, and 4-post platforms, and lift adapters, screw pads, and common replacements. There is gear for motorcycles and ATVs, plus wheel protection solutions that make sense for small spaces. In short, it is a wide entry ramp into the BendPak ecosystem for people who want quality without paying for features they will never use.

Nothing About Our Support Changes
Warranties on Grand Prix equipment remain valid. Parts and service resources stay in place. The same techs who pick up for BendPak pick up for APEX. Documentation keeps the same standards. If you sell our products today, the transition is clean. Model numbers map one to one, product pages will redirect, and updated price files and merchandising kits are on the way. If you run a marketplace listing or need channel-specific copy, tell us what converts for you and we will supply the assets.
Here is Where APEX Sits Inside the House of Brands
BendPak stays the premium commercial flagship. QuickJack continues to be the portable lift that changed home garages. MaxJax remains the solution for low-ceiling spaces that still need two-post capability. Autostacker delivers premium parking and storage systems for garages and showrooms that need more capacity without sacrificing safety or style. Ranger keeps serving wheel and shop equipment across the board. Cool Boss keeps workspaces comfortable with high-output evaporative coolers built for tough environments. APEX fills the space for buyers who want BendPak reliability and support with a cleaner, value-forward spec. The architecture is simple on purpose. Let duty cycle and feature set guide the purchase. Remove the mystery tiers. Make the choice easy.

We also want to be clear about intent. This move is not about stepping back. It is about widening the tent. The market is noisy and value conscious right now. Our response is to give you two clear lanes. Choose BendPak when you want every premium feature and the highest duty rating. Choose APEX when you want BendPak fundamentals at a price that respects your budget. In both cases you get equipment we would put in our own shop. That is the bar and it does not move.
Timing is Straightforward
Product information sheets and marketing collateral begin rolling out within the next two weeks. Ordering opens in Q4 2025, with shipments to follow shortly after. Your BendPak rep already has the details if you want to plan ahead. If you want to be first in line when carts go live, sign up for APEX updates and we will notify you the moment preorders open.
If you are a dealer, APEX gives you a strong answer to the value question without apology. You keep BendPak at the top of the ladder for premium commercial users. You add APEX for buyers who need serious gear at an approachable price. If you are a shop owner or an enthusiast building out a garage, APEX is our way of saying yes to the list of requirements you bring to a checkout screen: do the job, last a long time, be easy to service, and come from a company that stands behind what it sells.
This is how you lead in a choppy market. You do not wait for better weather. You pick a line, you drive it, and you keep your standards. Welcome to APEX. Same team. Same standards. New way to win.
