Rear-seated, free-floating slip plates help keep suspensions relaxed during wheel alignment work, reducing the need for old-school wheel jacking methods that can introduce flex and tire-wall pressure changes. This setup helps technicians perform more accurate alignments on heavier vehicles while keeping the process cleaner and more controlled. Galvanized, corrosion-resistant front turn plates use dual recessed pockets to support easier vehicle positioning and alignment equipment setup. Whether the job involves trucks, SUVs, sports cars, or race cars, the HDS-18EA gives technicians the built-in alignment hardware needed to work efficiently across a broad vehicle mix.

Supersized Sheaves and 5/8-Inch High-Tensile Lifting Cables

The HDS-18EA is engineered around BendPak’s heaviest alignment lift hardware. Supersized 12-inch diameter cable sheaves and massive 4-inch diameter sheave axles help support smooth operation and long service life under demanding loads. Four stainless steel 5/8-inch high-tensile lifting cables hoist the platform while remaining internally routed and protected inside the lift structure. Grease nipples on every sheave and axle help keep the lifting system operating smoothly with routine maintenance, while enclosed cables, airlines, and safety latches help protect critical systems from daily shop exposure.

The HDS-18EA includes spring-loaded automatic safety locks, multiple adjustable locking positions, and a push-button pneumatic lock release for efficient operation. A secondary lock system stays on guard for cable slack, while an integrated hydraulic flow restrictor helps support safe, controlled lowering in the unlikely event of hydraulic failure. A single hydraulic under-runway cylinder, maintenance-free power system, conveniently located controls, durable powder-coat finish, matte-finish runways, and 12-inch by 12-inch base plates round out a heavy-duty alignment lift built for commercial confidence. Optional rolling jacks can expand the system for wheel, brake, and suspension service.
