Low Ceiling? Tall Vehicle? Problem Solved.

Low Ceiling? Tall Vehicle? Problem Solved.

The BendPak 9APF is a 9,000-lb. open-top two-post lift built for shops that need real lifting capability in low-ceiling buildings. Instead of using an overhead beam, this floorplate lift keeps the upper area clear, making it a smart fit for older service bays, mixed-height shops, and spaces where tall vehicles, ladder racks, roof accessories, ducting, fans, or door tracks can create clearance headaches. The open-top layout gives technicians more room to work around cars, SUVs, light trucks, and taller vehicles without turning every lift setup into a ceiling-clearance negotiation. For shops that need a professional two-post lift but do not have the overhead space for a traditional clearfloor model, the 9APF delivers the AP Series arm engineering, safety systems, and low-ceiling practicality needed to turn limited bay space into productive service space.

Extra-Low Floorplate with Clean Line Routing

The 9APF uses an extra-low steel floorplate to cover the hydraulic hoses, equalizing cables, and safety cable routed between the posts. This keeps the bay cleaner, protects critical routing, and reduces the exposed clutter that can slow technicians down when moving oil drains, transmission jacks, tool carts, or creepers through the work area. Because the lift is designed around a floorplate layout, it gives shops low-ceiling flexibility without leaving service lines exposed across the bay. The result is a cleaner installation, better equipment movement, and a more practical work area for brake jobs, suspension work, drivetrain service, inspections, and everyday repair work.

AP-Series Arms for Modern Vehicle Lifting Points

AP-Series Arms for Modern Vehicle Lifting Points

The 9APF brings BendPak AP Series arm engineering to a lower-clearance floorplate platform. Triple-telescoping swing arms retract short for compact spotting and extend farther to reach a wider range of lifting points, while low-profile arm channels and dropped pad receivers help access lowered vehicles and hard-to-reach contact points. Bi-Metric arm geometry gives technicians the choice between symmetric and asymmetric spotting, so the same lift can support balanced service access or improved door clearance depending on the vehicle. Stackable adapters and cradle pads help accommodate trucks, SUVs, body-on-frame vehicles, and varied frame heights without resorting to sketchy setup tricks.

ASARS Safety and High-Cycle Shop Durability

Safety is a major part of the 9APF design. BendPak’s Automatic Swing Arm Restraint System uses a forged-steel restraint with 360-degree grip to help keep the arms locked in position during service. Multiple safety-lock positions and single-point lock release add control during lifting and lowering, while dual hydraulic cylinders and heavy-duty equalizer cables support stable operation. The lift is built for day-to-day shop use with large steel base plates, single-piece columns, self-lubricating UHMW carriage sliders, oversized sheaves, and straightforward service access. For low-ceiling shops that need a serious two-post lift instead of a workaround, the 9APF is built to keep vehicles supported, technicians moving, and bays earning.
