Quality Control Inspector

Reports To: : Assistant Quality Control Supervisor
Location: Santa Paula, CA

The QC Inspector is part of the BendPak quality team responsible for quaulity checks of parts and assemblies in a fast paced warhouse environment. The goal of this role is to assist the assurance of quality products stocked and shipped from our distribution / production facility in Santa Paula. This position has room for growth and training will be given for the right candidate.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Inspecting parts and assemblies to BendPak drawings using calipers / micrometers
• Verify items received meet parts list / Bills of Materials.
• Assists in loading, unloading and moving equipment and products.
• May assist with inventory counts and provide daily upkeep of the Warehouse
• May participate and support in projects or other duties as needed related to Quality Control.

REQUIREMENTS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Understanding of blue prints and welding specs, working knowledge of engineering documentation such as drawings, parts lists, wiring diagrams, and material specifications.
• Experience with welding and fabricating components preferred, but not required.
• Abilitye to us MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook a plus.
• Understanding of electrical and hydraulic schematics a plus.
• Forklift experience preferred

REQUIREMENTS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

• Must be reliable and detail oriented
• Must be mechanically inclined and comfortable working with heavy equipment
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Forklift experience preferred
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• The employee is required to work in a warehouse, or outdoor environment which may be cold or hot depending on the season.
• The employee frequently is required to sit, walk, or stand 8 hour shifts
• Frequent use of hand tools such as hammers, pry bars, wrenches, etc.
• The employee frequently is required to lift up to 50lbs. and pull up to 20 lbs.
• The employee frequently is required to climb up and down from the forklift seat.
