The past decade has been extraordinary for BendPak. Our commitment to teamwork, our focus on leading-edge technology and relationships of trust and co-operation with our customers allowed us to continue achieving exceptional growth. We reached key milestones and furthered BendPak’s position as a leading technology-based manufacturer and developer of automotive service equipment. As well, we more than tripled our sales both globally and domestic while at the same time achieving significant technological advancements in our research and development initiatives. Even in the face of challenging economic conditions we look forward to what opportunities they bring.

The upcoming years will be exciting as we continue broadening our business focus. Parking lifts have long captivated our interest with their potential for vast markets and wide-reaching growth potential. The expansion of our parking lift division is paramount. This is a unique challenge for our companies, and one that we have embraced moving forward. Moving from ‘promise’ to ‘product’ will require not only the continued development of commercial parking lift technologies, but also the expansion of our global service support initiative. We believe that our expanded commercial parking lift directive over the last five years has allowed us to stake a claim as one of the world’s leading suppliers. In the last five years, we have developed, manufactured, sold and serviced sophisticated parking lift systems that make vehicle parking problems go away in many countries of the world, including the United States, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany and Saudi Arabia. We expect the step from ‘promise’ to ‘product’ will be a small one for BendPak, and view it as a natural evolution of our existing knowledge and system capabilities.

We have ambitious goals for the next five years and the vision and resources to achieve them. Our mission remains clear for the upcoming years and is captured in our logo: ‘‘Providing Automotive Service Solutions’’. Our goal is to respond to market challenges and deliver professional-grade products with mass market appeal. We have the knowledge, experience and expertise to bring specialty products to market, and we know the steps we need to take are simply an extension of what we have been doing successfully since our inception. Consequently, we have set an aggressive timeline for the development of new lifting products to fulfill our commitment of Total Lifting Solutions.

Another goal is to manage our business on a commercially sustainable basis. One of our customers has characterized our four-decade growth as ‘‘more a marathon than a sprint’’. This is a cautious statement, but one that we embrace in our operations and planning. We believe that a successful business is built on manageable and sustainable growth. In 2005-2007 we grew our business substantially yet managed to maintain and fulfill our commitment to service. This result stands in stark contrast to many of our competitors and we are proud of
this achievement.

Our progress in the immediate future will be measured in terms of our ability to establish BendPak not only as leader in the development and manufacture of automotive service solutions, but also by our ability to forge strategic alliances in the global marketplace. This is one of our priorities for 2008. Strategic relationships will provide BendPak with an additional perspective and unique paths to launch products across a broad spectrum of commercial and automotive applications. Whether prospective alliances offer complementary technologies, or attractive opportunities for market penetration, we plan to be selective and pursue those relationships that offer the best long-term value for our companies.

We hope you sense the excitement we feel about our future. Our plans are aggressive, yet achievable. We can say this because of the experience and position we have attained through over 40-years of excellence, and the perspective that it gives us as we develop products for tomorrow. We hear the markets’ demands and we are readying ourselves to meet their challenge. We firmly believe that the next decade will be a defining and exciting timeline in our history.

I would like to thank each of our employees for making this past decade such an outstanding success. I would also like to extend my thanks to our customers and our suppliers, for their unfailing sense of devotion, responsibility, guidance and support, which has made an outstanding contribution to our successful growth.
