Most Ridiculous Reasons To Be Pulled Over

Automotive enthusiasts come in many different breeds, but one thing can be said with certainty: none of us likes getting a ticket. And in these times when the US government appears to be as strapped for cash as the rest of us, your local highway patrol might be getting a little more creative with ticket-giving.

To let off a little steam on the subject, blogger Matt Hardigree over at auto-blog Jalopnik.com posed yesterday’s question of the day, “What’s the most ridiculous reason you’ve been pulled over?”

Replies range from, “The ‘85 4Runner I used to have had the left taillight faded to where it was more pink than red,” to, “55 in a 54,” and, “looking at [the officer's car] and [pulling] away quickly.”
