The Customer Service That Sets BendPak / Ranger Apart

November 30th, 2009

BendPak stands for more than great car lifts. Great service, too!

Most of the world knows BendPak for our exceptional automotive equipment and particularly advanced car lifts. However, one consequence of having superior products is that few of our customers ever get to experience our Certified Service Program™ support center.

Don’t get us wrong, this isn’t a bad thing. We love that all our BendPak / Ranger products have a reputation for hassle-free longevity. But we’ve got this award-winning customer support and only a few of our customers are even aware it exists! Here are just some of the free services you receive the moment you purchase a new BendPak / Ranger product, just in case you ever need us to make something right:

– A customer care center, fully staffed by account reps and technical gurus.

– Our highly-efficient logistics support chain and dispatch network.

– A worldwide fleet of on-site experts available to repair, inspect, maintain and replace your equipment.

– The “Spare in the Air” repair strategy for overnight-or-sooner part replacement.

– One number to call for all your service needs and live human support without the runaround.

So, in the unlikely event that something about your BendPak / Ranger product does not completely satisfy you or you happen to need a little technical support, don’t sweat it. Just think, you’re about to see how good customer service can be when it’s done the right way–the BendPak / Ranger way. Things are already looking up! And the next time you hear about BendPak or Ranger, you’ll think about more than just our great products.

Next Year, Deep Fry Your Turkey With a Ranger Engine Hoist

November 27th, 2009

Hoisted to perfection.

Those of you brave pioneers who opt to deep fry your seasonal birds instead of cooking them in the oven (i.e. the easy way), you know better than anyone else that the process can be as dangerous as the final product is delicious. Luckily, for everyone not seeking third degree burns or a Darwin award, auto-blog Jalopnik has given us a safer method for dropping and retrieving a Turkey from molten oil–with a distinctly automotive twist. Use your engine hoist, not your hands!

Head over here for the full rundown of cooking instructions. We think you’ll agree that this is hands down probably the most genius instance of “automotive equipment meets food” ever. And if you don’t already have a turkey engine hoist, go ahead and check out the Ranger RSC-2TF, a space-saving shop crane with an 8-ton capacity. You know, for lifting REALLY big poultry.

Sneak Peek Photo Shoot: The All-New Ranger RX3040 Tire Changer

November 23rd, 2009

The Ranger RX3040 Tire Changer is a technological wonder

You may have noticed that the Ranger side of the house has been a bit quiet since the release of the oil filter crusher video earlier this month. So? Have we been slacking off? Taking it easy? Not a chance! We’ve been gearing up for our two biggest announcements of the year.

Introducing the Ranger RX3040 Tire Changer. This thing hasn’t even been released yet, and it’s already what everyone’s talking about ever since a demo made the rounds at AAPEX this year. Cutting-edge features like an integrated under-tire camera and LCD screen, twin bead rollers and a touch-less tire / wheel separation process make this tire machine the most advanced piece of equipment you’re likely to find in any shop or garage anywhere.

Check out these pictures for yourself and you’ll know exactly what to ask Santa for this year. As for the second announcement, you’ll just have to stay tuned to the BendPak Blog.

BendPak Unveils New Line of Boat Storage Lifts

November 17th, 2009

New boat lift blog available now!

Today we’re proud to announce a worthy addition to our specialty lift lineup. Introducing the all new HD-9BL customizable boat lifting solution from BendPak!

The HD-9BL features the same superior features, materials and craftsmanship that you’ve come to expect from BendPak, and it’s backed by our award-winning Certified Service Program. Our new boat lifts are BendPak blue through and through, so you know they’ll perform perfectly under pressure and will always be there when you need it.

Here’s an excerpt from the product page, warning boat owners against the real hazards of leaving their boat in the water:

Don’t trust your precious boat to the unpredictability of the water. Salt water corrosion, barnacles, rust damage, rub marks, coating blemishes, rot and irreversible harm caused by cold weather to your engine and interior—you leave yourself open to all of these catastrophes when you leave your boat docked for extended periods of time.

BendPak has a far better boat storage solution. Get it out of the water and up in the air with one of our new boat storage lifts! We offer customized boat lifts in a wide array of weight capacities to meet every boat lifting need. Whether you’re the proud owner of a sailboat, yacht, speedboat or passenger boat, there’s a BendPak boat lift just for you.

You can read all about the new BendPak HD-9BL right here. We’re sure that if you do decide to go with yet another fine BendPak storage solution, you will be very, very pleased.

Most Ridiculous Reasons To Be Pulled Over

November 11th, 2009

Really, officer? REALLY?

Automotive enthusiasts come in many different breeds, but one thing can be said with certainty: none of us likes getting a ticket. And in these times when the US government appears to be as strapped for cash as the rest of us, your local highway patrol might be getting a little more creative with ticket-giving.

To let off a little steam on the subject, blogger Matt Hardigree over at auto-blog Jalopnik.com posed yesterday’s question of the day, “What’s the most ridiculous reason you’ve been pulled over?”

Replies range from, “The ’85 4Runner I used to have had the left taillight faded to where it was more pink than red,” to, “55 in a 54,” and, “looking at [the officer’s car] and [pulling] away quickly.”

There’s more too, both scary and hilarious. The comments are definitely worth the read for anyone who’s felt that their ticket was unjustified. Click here to see them all!
